TAKAGI KOJI

The softly wavy patterns on the surface of the pottery are painted one by one by Mr. Takagi using a technique called “SAIDEI". These beautiful, unique expressions are impossible to achieve using glaze.

Mr. Takagi's works are loved by culinary professionals in high-end restaurants and three-star hotels, and since their shapes and colors match any type of cuisine, they are also highly suitable for home use as well as for gifts.

Born in Tokyo in 1955.
After graduating from Keio University with a degree in Fine Arts, he trained as a potter in Kyoto and Nara, and is currently practicing pottery in his studio in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture.
