陶は人にとって、自然との間を取り持つ素材だ。

人は自然を必要としているけれど、

生の自然をそのまま受け入れる程には強くなくて、
陶器をインターフェイスにして自然とつながろうとする。

陶の器で食事をし、花器に花を活ける。

土を焼くと器になるというシンプルな工程が、
自然と人との境界をなめらかに馴染ませる。

私は器を作る時、

自然の野性味が、人のための道具の中にうまく溶け込むように、
そのバランスをいつも探っている。

1967年　静岡県静岡市に産まれる。
1991年　日本大学経済学部卒業　株式会社TKC入社
1999年　愛知県立窯業高等技術専門校卒業　土岐市の製陶所に勤務
2002年　岐阜県土岐市鶴里町に築窯

Ceramic is a material that connects people with nature.

People need nature, but they are not strong enough to accept raw nature as it is,

but not strong enough to accept raw nature as it is,
They try to connect with nature using pottery as an interface.

They eat with ceramic vessels and arrange flowers in vases.

The simple process of firing clay to make a vessel,
the boundary between nature and people is smoothly blended.

When I make vessels,

I am always searching for the balance between the wildness of nature and the tools for human use,
I am always searching for that balance.
