【SNOW】 — The too-late revolution named "White." ー
At the end of the 16th century, the world of Chanoyu (the tea ceremony) shifted from the restrained beauty of "Wabi" toward an era seeking vaster freedom of expression. It was during this time that Mino finally perfected "Shino"—a style that infused ceramics with the light of pure white.
The thick, warm feldspar glaze marked a momentous breakthrough: for the very first time, artisans transformed the vessel into a canvas for self-expression, capturing true artistic freedom.
Painting on clay, reflecting the soul. Like a hopeful landscape budding through the thawing snow after a freezing winter, an explosion of creative vision began right here.
